In this block, students explore different programming paradigms - essentially, different philosophies and structural approaches to solving computational problems. The focus shifts beyond traditional procedural programming to dive deeply into Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), modelling real-world entities using classes, objects, and inheritance. Depending on the specific exam board, this unit also branches out to explore the mathematical elegance of functional programming or the responsive nature of event-driven languages, broadening the toolkit of any aspiring software engineer.
