079. data centres: the energy hogs of the cloud (ks5)

Evaluate the massive environmental impact of cloud computing data centres and explore the innovative cooling technologies required to make them sustainable.
The "cloud" is actually millions of physical servers running 24/7 in enormous warehouses called data centres. These facilities consume staggering amounts of electricity and water to stay cool. We will evaluate the environmental footprint of cloud computing, analysing the complex engineering challenges of keeping data centres cool and the shift towards powering them with 100% renewable energy.
